Adult Summer Reading Program
May 30th - August 1st
Embark on an adventure through history and around the world—60 minutes at a time. Every hour you read enters you into a bi-weekly prize basket drawing, and an end of summer reading raffle for a chance to win available prizes!
Participants will receive an Epilogue Bookstore coupon, as well as a magnet and coupon for Hyperbowling at Royal Family Bowling Center.
Note: If you have participated in one of our reading programs in the past using Beanstack, you don't need to create a new user to sign up - simply login to your original account and check the box to register for the current program.
Use Beanstack to log your time online and earn badges and prizes for registering and completing the challenge. You can write reviews to share with others, and see what other people are reading this summer. Follow this link for more information on using Beanstack.
Adult Summer Reading is made possible through the generous donation and support of the Friends of Samuels Library. Thank you FOSL!
On the go all summer? You can also download free eBooks, magazines, videos and music on our website so don’t miss out!
Biweekly Basket Drawings
Every two weeks, we’ll pull a drawing for a basket prize. Each basket contains items related to one of these themes: Tea/Coffee, Gardening, Beach/Outdoors, Books, Cooking. Winners can choose one of any of these baskets as their prize!
Pick up materials starting June 1st. Return materials by June 30th.
Welcome to the 4th Annual Tiny Art Show! You are invited to create and submit work using supplies available from the Adult Reference Desk or your own - pick up materials starting on June 1st! Any type of media can be used as long as your work is 4 inches or smaller in any direction. Please make sure to keep your submissions family-friendly, as the work will be on public display in a central area of the library.
This year’s theme is Unearth a Story - Digging Deep! This free activity is open to EVERYONE no matter the skill level. Creating art is great for the mind! For those interested in submitting: Please submit artwork to the Adult Reference Desk by June 30th for the show which will be up for the month of July.
New this year: After several purchase inquiries last year, we're offering the option of letting creators sell their piece in the show to benefit Samuels Public Library! If you would like to allow us to sell your work, it will be by donation, unless you specify a minimum amount on your entry form. This is a great opportunity to expand the reach of your art while helping raise money for your favorite local library!
