Computers

The library currently maintains 30 computers for public access. Ten of these are located in the children's and young adult areas, and the remaining twenty computers are located in the adult area of the library. Each computer runs on Windows 10, and has Microsoft Office Standard 2016 installed. Computer use is on a first come, first serve basis - each person is allowed two 2-hour sessions per day.

Any Library patron with a card in good standing may log on to a computer. If you are just passing through, simply present your photo ID at one of the Reference Desks to obtain a visitor's pass for the day.

Samuels Public Library does require that all patrons wishing to use the internet agree to our Internet Acceptable Use Policy. Children under the age of 18 must have a parent present to sign their authorization form if they wish to access the internet through the library.

Through use of our computers, you will have access to a broad range of data on any subject requiring your research. You may also access your personal email, work on a resume, research any topic - the possibilities are endless. For a nominal fee, printouts of accessed files are available.
