Reading Programs

June 7th - August 14th

Favorite animals and amazing stories give you Tails and Tales, a fun-filled summer reading club for all ages! Come explore the exciting world of wild animals and their habitats through books, programs, games, and more! Register online or in person. Read some great tales, log your books, and pick up your prize when you visit Samuels Library.

Note: If you have participated in one of our reading programs in the past using Beanstack, you don't need to create a new user to sign up - simply login to your original account and check the box to register for the current program.

Pre-readers may earn their prizes by listening to five books each week.

Use Beanstack to log your books online, earn badges for books read and activities completed. You can write reviews to share with others, and see what other kids are reading this summer. Follow this link for more information on using Beanstack.

Summer Reading Club is sponsored by Friends of Samuels Library (FOSL), Rotary Club of Warren County, and Elks Lodge #2382.

Join our reading readiness program designed to expose children to an assortment of classic stories that will help them on their journey to become independent readers! Sign up online or in person at the Youth Reference desk.

The program is ongoing throughout the year, so you may start any time. Periodically, as children accomplish listening milestones they will be invited to special parties at the library to celebrate their achievement!

This program is designed to encourage parents and caregivers to read at least 1000 books to children from birth to kindergarten.

If you have any questions, please contact the Youth Reference department at or 540.635.3153 ext. 106. Follow this link for more information on using Beanstack.
