    Off-Site Event | Shenandoah River State Park, 350 Daughter of Stars Drive, Bentonville
     REGISTRATION REQUIRED 


    We will meet at the Shenandoah River State Park visitor center to review bird identification and tips of photographing birds. After the meeting at the visitor center, we will explore habitats that birds frequent to observe them and photograph these flying wonders. Sturdy footwear is recommended. All types of cameras from smart phones to professional cameras and levels of photographers are welcomed. Note: State Park parking fee rules apply for attending this program. The Library has a limited number of LVA state park bags with passes. Availability is not guaranteed. Register for this event online.

    The insightful book What Happened to You? by Dr. Bruce Perry and Oprah Winfrey highlights the importance of understanding a person based on their past experience, particularly around Adverse Childhood Experiences and trauma. It will help you develop a better understanding of both yourself and others. Northwestern Community Services Board is providing free copies of the book for anyone who would like to participate in a discussion group with Warren Coalition and the Triumph Over Trauma Trauma-Informed Community Network. (If you cannot attend the book discussion, you will be required to complete an online survey about the book.) Register at the Adult Reference Desk when you pick up a copy of the book at the library.
