Pottery Workshop: Textured Treasure Boxes

Monday, December 10th, 2018 
5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
 REGISTRATION REQUIRED 


Create a small textured treasure box out of clay during this FOSL sponsored program led by potter Arline from the Kiln Doctor. Each participant will be able to create and glaze a small textured box during the session. Finished boxes will be taken to the Kiln Doctor following the program to be fired and will be ready to pick up before Christmas. This is an adult program but mature children accompanied by a responsible caregiver are always welcome. Class size is strictly limited. Register for this event online.

Note: Takes place most Tuesdays of every month - if personnel are not here, blood pressure checks are available any day of the week at St. Luke Community Clinic. You do not need to be a patient there to take advantage of this service.

Geminid Meteor Shower

Come learn about and watch the Geminid meteor shower, the best meteor shower of the year! There will be a brief indoor program followed by a meteor shower watch. No special equipment is needed but be sure to dress appropriately for cold weather since we will be outdoors to observe meteors. Viewing the moon and Mars through a telescope will also be possible, weather permitting.
