He has performed all over the country for thousands of people (and several celebrities), as well as headlining the 2010 Apple Blossom Parade in Winchester, VA. Art History: Vermeer

The exquisite paintings of 17th-century Dutch master Johannes Vermeer (1632-1675) are nothing short of an international sensation. Despite their realism, however, Vermeer's images of people and daily life elude our understanding. Using extraordinary close-ups impossible to experience in a museum setting, art historian Ben Glenn II examines Vermeer's subjects and working methods within the historical context of the glorious Dutch "Golden Age."

Martin Luther & the Reformation: A 500th Anniversary

In October 1517, Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the door of the Wittenburg Castle Church and, in doing so, ignited the fires of a religious revolt, known as The Reformation, against Catholic Rome that swept through large swaths of Europe with fervor and, at times, violence and destruction. During the first hour of this program, historian and author Rev. Dr. James Utt, will present an overview of The Reformation on this, its 500th anniversary. Afterward, art historian Ben Glenn II will examine the art of The Reformation period and the effects of iconoclasm on the artistic legacy of late-medieval Europe.

The Jeweled Cabbage: A Children's Garden Program

Around the World in 90 Minutes: Looking at Earth from Space

Travel around Earth in 90 minutes by viewing images taken by astronauts from the International Space Station. See the beautiful colors of Earth, identify patterns, view changes that have taken place over time, and find evidence of humans across the globe. What features can you see from space? Participants will have the opportunity to practice their newly acquired Earth observation skills. Aerospace educator and former NASA professional Debbie Biggs takes us on this exciting voyage into "the final frontier."
